Immersion sensor with factory certificate to EN 10204-2.2 and acceptance test certificate to EN 10204-3.1
For 30 years, SEIKOM Electronic has been one of the leading suppliers of TÜV-certified innovative measurement and control technology. In addition to immersion sensors, we can also provide you with pressure measurement with pressure transmitters or with air quality sensors wherever it is necessary to measure the air quality. measure air quality. You can also obtainheating, ventilation and air conditioning devicesand much more from us at . Another special feature is our expertise in the area of safety integrity level and explosion protection (ATEX). In this context, our product portfolio includes special ATEX products for demanding environments.
At SEIKOM Electronic, our focus is not only on the technological reliability of our products, but also on ensuring the highest quality standards and conformity to standards. We understand that in many industrial and HVAC sectors, certificates that provide proof of product quality and conformity are essential.
For our immersion sensors and duct sensors, we offer the factory certificate in accordance with EN 10204-2.2 and the acceptance test certificate in accordance with EN 10204-3.1 free of charge on request:
Factory certificate in accordance with EN 10204-2.2: We issue the factory certificate 2.2 free of charge, in which we confirm the conformity of our products with the order specification. This includes a general declaration of conformity based on non-specific tests and ensures that our immersion sensors and duct sensors are manufactured in accordance with the normative and technical standards.
Inspection certificate in accordance with EN 10204-3.1: The inspection certificate 3.1 goes one step further. This documentation is also offered free of charge and proves product conformity based on specific tests carried out by independent, authorized specialists. It includes detailed test results, such as the chemical composition, physical properties and, if necessary, the heat treatment condition of the material. This certificate represents a higher level of detail and therefore promotes additional confidence in the precision and reliability of our temperature sensors.
The provision of these certificates reflects our commitment to quality, transparency and customer satisfaction. They also ensure compliance with industry standards and facilitate quality verification and process integration in your company. For project inquiries, our team will be happy to support you and ensure that you receive all the documents you need to ensure the compliance and traceability of your measurement technology.
What does an immersion sensor allow?
An immersion sensor is classified as a temperature sensor and uses a special connection head to ensure that temperatures in liquids, gases or bulk materials can be measured without any problems. In contrast to contact sensors, which measure temperatures from the outside, immersion sensors are designed so that they can be inserted and mounted completely inside a container, pipe or other environment. The aforementioned connection head or robust housing is characteristic of immersion sensors and duct sensors so that they can withstand any liquid or gaseous media.
How does an immersion sensor work?
To measure the temperature, an immersion sensor is inserted directly into the medium. The installed sensor elements react to changes in temperature. In most cases, thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors or semiconductor sensors are used for this purpose. As soon as the temperature changes, the sensors react by a measurable change in a physical property, e.g. the electrical resistance or the voltage generated. Once the temperature changes have been recorded, any signal is converted into an electrical signal and transmitted to an evaluation unit. Depending on the type of immersion sensor, these are either analog or digital. The signal transmitted by the immersion sensor is then analyzed by the evaluation unit, which converts the value into a temperature that you can now read on the display.
Important: In order for an immersion sensor to provide accurate results, you should always ensure that it is installed correctly. We recommend the use of thermowells in conjunction with a heat-conducting paste. This ensures effective heat transfer between the medium and the immersion sensor.
What are the advantages of immersion sensors?
If you opt for an immersion sensor, you will benefit from several advantages that will accompany you in the long term. One of the most important is the high measuring accuracy of a very wide temperature range thanks to direct measurement in the medium itself. No other temperature sensor offers this high level of effectiveness with a rapid response time. An immersion sensor is therefore the first choice when it comes to precise temperature monitoring.
The high temperature and pressure resistance as well as the robustness of the design and material selection for immersion sensors are also more than impressive. This means that nothing stands in the way of their use in ovens or metal processing.
The versatility of immersion sensors, which are designed for liquids as well as gases or bulk solids in different areas, is also impressive. The integration of immersion sensors is associated with a few requirements, but can nevertheless be mastered quickly. The temperature sensors are also compatible with a wide range of control and monitoring systems.
Advantages of invasive temperature measurement
Immersion sensors and duct sensors are known for their direct and accurate temperature measurement. In contrast to non-invasive methods, these sensors allow direct measurement in the medium, which reduces latency times and increases precision. The robust design makes it possible to provide reliable data even under harsh conditions.
Where are immersion sensors used?
Thanks to their all-round qualities, immersion sensors are convincing in numerous environments and industries.
Examples of the areas of application of immersion sensors and duct sensors in practice include
- Temperature monitoring in industrial liquid containers
- Measurement in cooling circuits, heat exchangers and heat pumps
- Control of temperatures in chemical process plants
- Temperature monitoring in the food industry (e.g. fermentation and fermentation processes)
- Temperature control in HVAC water pipes, air conditioning duct temperatures in ventilation systems and flow control in heating systems
- Temperature control in wastewater treatment plants
- Measurement in steam systems and boiler systems
- Control of process temperatures in food processing plants
- Temperature monitoring in pharmaceutical production processes
Available output signals
The right choice of output signals is crucial for the integration of temperature sensors into complex control and regulation systems. At SEIKOM Electronic, we offer a variety of output options to ensure maximum flexibility and compatibility for our customers.
Active immersion sensors with analog signal
Active immersion sensors are available with various analog outputs and enable direct and seamless communication with control and monitoring systems. Through their analogue signals - typically standardized as 4-20 mA or 0-10 V - they provide a continuous signal that is proportional to the measured temperature. The advantage of 4-20 mA signals is their low susceptibility to interference over long distances, which is why they are preferred in industrial applications, while immersion sensors with 0-10 V signals are often used in building automation systems.
Immersion sensors in the form of resistance thermometers
For applications that require particularly high measurement accuracy, our resistance thermometers are an excellent choice. These sensors utilize the linear relationship between temperature and electrical resistance of selected materials such as platinum. PT100 sensors, which have a resistance of 100 ohms at 0 °C, and PT1000 sensors, with 1000 ohms at 0 °C, belong to this category and are extremely popular due to their precision and stability. They can be used in two-, three- or four-wire circuits, with three- and four-wire technology further increasing accuracy by compensating for lead resistance.
Digital outputs and BUS-compatible immersion sensors
In addition to analog outputs, our range also includes immersion sensors with digital output signals, e.g. via Modbus. In addition to pure temperature transmission, these offer further functionalities such as device diagnostics and configuration via remote access. Integration into a BUS system enables the central recording and control of various sensors and thus simplifies the monitoring of complex systems.
Optimal installation conditions
Proper installation is crucial to ensure the accuracy and longevity of your immersion and duct temperature sensors. The use of thermowells in conjunction with heat-conducting paste supports effective heat transfer between the medium and the sensor. The thermowell acts as a protective barrier, protecting the sensor from corrosive or abrasive influences, while the thermal paste ensures minimal thermal resistance. Appropriate insulation of the thermowell can also shield the measurement from external temperature influences.
Whether in power generation, food production or the HVAC sector - the various output signals of our immersion sensors and duct sensors ensure that you can optimally integrate the monitoring and control of your temperature measurements into your system.
